John Lamont MP has praised the work of local volunteers after attending a recent meeting of the Borders Parkinson's Support Group.
The MP for the Borders joined one of their regular events, which take place in the Wetherspoons in Galashiels every few weeks.
Meetings are typically organised for the second Wednesday of the month between 11am and 1pm and the fourth Wednesday of the month between 6pm and 8pm.

Scottish Borders MP, John Lamont, said: "It was a pleasure to join this fantastic local group and spend some time with those who attend.
"These meetings are well-attended, good-natured and very sociable. Well done to the volunteers for bringing people together.
"Parkinson's disease can be really difficult for those who suffer from it and their families.
"I would encourage anyone affected by this disease to attend these events if they would like someone to talk to, need a little more support, or even just want to get out and socialise."
