The UK Minister of State for Veterans' Affairs met with former Armed Forces personnel on a recent visit to the Scottish Borders alongside the local MP.
The Rt Hon Johnny Mercer MP and John Lamont MP visited Three Hills Coffee, owned by former soldier Richard Keeling and his partner Jessica Jericevich, and R&L Taxis owned by Bruce Mercer who served in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers. They also spent time with local veterans and their families from across the Borders.
Johnny Mercer MP said it was a “pleasure” to visit the Scottish Borders and hear directly from “inspirational” people who had served our country.
