John Lamont MP has launched Volunteer of the Year awards for 2024 to celebrate “unsung heroes” across the Borders.
The annual competition aims to give credit to “dedicated and selfless local people.”
The 2024 awards have opened for entries and will close on 24 May.
Winners will be chosen ahead of Volunteers' Week from 3 to 9 June.
People who receive the most nominations will receive a framed award.
Nominations can be made on the MP's website here: https://www.johnlamont.org/volunteer.
Scottish Borders MP, John Lamont, said: “They are many unsung heroes across the Scottish Borders who don’t get the credit they deserve.
“I regularly hear about dedicated and selfless local people who do whatever they can to help others.
“This competition will seek to celebrate the kindness and generosity of volunteers in the Borders.
“I would encourage anyone to nominate someone they feel deserves special recognition for their efforts.”
